Peer support at PositiveFaith
God sends us other people who can help us on our journey, living with HIV, one day at a time.
-
Where are the meetings?
At PositiveFaith we offer peer support groups in London, Manchester, Cambridge and online where people get together to discuss matters of faith, their lives, their diagnoses and help support each other through the bright spots and dark patches of life.
-
How does it work?
We have found that HIV stigma is most effectively challenged through meaningful encounters, taking us into the realm of relationship, where we encounter one another and are challenged to understand, think about, and respond to another person’s situation.
-
How often are the meetings?
Our different groups meet either weekly or monthly. To find out more about your local group, please get in touch using the form below or call 07505 608655.
-
What should I expect?
When we gather together we share food, prayer and conversation, supporting each other in our faith, in our experience living with HIV and in our lives.
We also run residential retreats at Douai Abbey and Minsteracres where members come to share with each other and find peace in their lives.
If you would like to learn more about joining a PositiveFaith Peer Support Group or joining a residential retreat, please give us a call on 07505 608655 or send us your details using the form below, and we’ll be in touch.
